Definition of a Swinger
Swingers are sometimes referred to as lifestyle couples or swinging couples. Swingers come in all shapes, sizes and gender. Most swingers are anywhere from late twenties to early fifties. Most are married couples and looking to take their sexual experiences to the next level. Most swinger couples are well-groomed, well-dressed, and just your everyday man or woman. Swingers don't wear signs to show their off-hours activities. In fact, you may not recognize a swinger at all. Some lifestyle couples have reported going to swinging clubs, only to run into their next door neighbors! Most swinging couples aren't having problems or are looking to change their relationship, they're actually looking to add more spice to their intimacy. They are living out fantasies in a safe and open environment. Some swingers report that even after twenty years in the lifestyle, they are better able to communicate with their partner than they would have been without the swinging lifestyle experience.
History of Swinging
It was first reported during WW2 when swinging activity came to light, especially among the United States air force pilots. Those men had wealth and influence to move their wives close to the base. In those days the fact that their fatality rate was extremely high against any other branch of service started an unusual social spot where non-monogamy between these pilot's wives and other pilots became very satisfactory. Before military actions they would setup parties with their colleagues and their wives to say good bye. In these parties colleagues would promise if anything happens to them that they will take care of their families, including the sexual needs of their wives. These arrangements carried on throughout World War II and well into the Korean War near the air force bases. By the time the Korean War ended, these wife swapping groups had spread from bases to the nearby suburbs. By then there were also secret key clubs where husbands reportedly tossed their house keys into a bucket in the center of the room and drawn at random by their wives. The owner of a selected key was the sexual partner for that evening. It was not until the early 1950’s that the news first reported these swinging activities in the US and in the military and called it "wife swapping". The very first public decision was published in a magazine in the late 1957. The magazine carried a short article with semi-nude photos of female models with large breast. By surprise many aspects of the phenomenon emerged from reader’s responses. It included such information about sex clubs especially devoted to threesomes or even larger groups.
